Software Engineering
Building for the web since 1997.
I have been building for the web since 1997 — from rebuilding Nike.com’s checkout and helping take it to the cloud, to rebuilding a fintech platform and launching a monetized public API. My days are spent leading teams, but I still love to build when the right project comes along — and decades of judgment come with the code.

Sound familiar?
“We need a website or web app, but we don’t have a tech team.”
I handle it end to end — from planning and design collaboration through build, deployment, and handoff. You get a modern, fast, maintainable product and documentation your next hire will thank you for.
“Our systems don’t talk to each other.”
Integrations are quiet productivity gold: connecting your CRM, payments, accounting, and internal tools kills the copy-paste work between them. I design and build APIs and third-party integrations that just work.
“We have an idea and need an MVP — without hiring a whole team.”
I build scoped MVPs fast, with a foundation that can grow into the real product instead of being thrown away. The least amount of code is not always the best code — but for an MVP, focus is everything.
“Our legacy app is holding us back, but we can’t stop the business to fix it.”
You almost never have to. I have rebuilt legacy applications incrementally while the business kept running — modernizing the stack and the data model piece by piece, with releases along the way.
“We got a proposal from an agency and have no idea if it’s reasonable.”
A second opinion is cheap insurance. I review architectures, codebases, and proposals and tell you in plain language what is solid, what is risky, and what you should push back on.
What I build
Websites & web applications
Modern, fast, and maintainable — built with Next.js, React, and TypeScript, deployed on cloud infrastructure that scales with you.
APIs & integrations
Designed, built, and documented — from third-party integrations and payment flows to public APIs your customers pay to use.
MVPs & prototypes
Get the idea in front of real users quickly, on a foundation that can become the real thing.
Modernization & rebuilds
Incremental rebuilds of legacy applications — new stack, better data management, no big-bang cutover.
Architecture & code review
A senior second opinion on your architecture, codebase, or an agency’s proposal — before you commit the budget.

Common questions
What is your preferred stack?
TypeScript, Next.js and React, Node.js, and data stores like MongoDB and Firebase on cloud-native infrastructure. That said, I pick the right tool for the job — the stack serves the project, not the other way around.
Do you work alone or with a team?
Scoped projects I typically build solo. For larger effort I can assemble and lead a small team — building teams is literally my day job.
Do you offer ongoing support after launch?
Yes — most projects include a handoff and warranty period, and I offer maintenance retainers for ongoing improvements and support.
How do you price projects?
Fixed price for well-scoped projects, time and materials for evolving ones. Either way you get a written quote after a short discovery conversation — no surprises.
